Career Fields for Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Community Nutrition:

Graduates of this specialization have job opportunities in all entities, organizations, research institutes, maternal and childcare centers, rehabilitation centers, and institutions concerned with nutritional surveillance of population groups. They can work in assessing the nutritional status of communities, planning nutritional programs, implementing nutritional intervention programs in areas in need—based on study and evaluation—monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of these programs, providing nutritional assessment services, proposing solutions to nutrition-related problems, and developing nutritional policies.

The duration of study to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science is four academic years (eight academic levels) for all departments. The academic year is divided into two semesters, following the credit hour system.
After completing the required coursework in the field of specialization and successfully passing 131 credit hours, Helwan University shall award, upon the recommendation of the Faculty Council of Nutrition Science, the bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science, specialization: Community Nutrition.

Note: This bachelor's degree does not qualify the holder to obtain any license to open clinics or medical centers.

The language of instruction at the Faculty of Nutrition Science is Arabic, except for the English section of the Clinical Nutrition Department, where instruction is in English.
For all specializations taught in Arabic, the relevant academic department must designate at least one course in the field of specialization to be taught in English, in addition to teaching scientific terminology for each course in English as part of the course content.
