For Students:

  • Processing transportation and metro passes, university dormitory application forms, enrollment certificates, student status reports, and college ID cards after tuition fees have been paid.
  • Preparing military service records, enrollment records, and student status cards for each student at the college; compiling lists of students divided by academic departments; organizing seat numbers alphabetically; and listing students who missed exam days.
  • Reviewing examination committees, invigilation procedures, and the conduct of examinations.
  • Awarding scholarships for excellence and outstanding performance.
  • Receiving new students, preparing medical examination forms, getting them stamped by the college’s medical unit, and collecting all admission documents.
  • Receiving student appeals and complaints.

Academic Affairs Department

This department is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Preparing academic schedules for each semester.
  • Preparing exam schedules for the first and second semesters, as well as for September defaults sessions.
  • Monitoring visiting professors regarding exam attendance and coursework duties.
  • Ensuring lectures and classes are conducted in the designated halls and classrooms according to the schedule.
  • Following up on academic issues faced by students.
Medical Unit

The Medical Unit performs the following tasks:

  • Conducting medical examinations for new students at the beginning of the academic year.
  • Providing medical check-ups and appropriate treatments for students who visit the unit.
  • Conducting dental check-ups and necessary treatments or surgeries at the dental clinic.
  • Conducting medical examinations for students transferring from other faculties at the start of each academic year.
  • Referring students transferred to Helwan University Student Hospital for specialist consultations and necessary treatments or surgeries.
  • Providing first aid services for college staff.
  • Examining students who missed classes due to illness and approving their medical leave.
  • Providing medical supervision during written and practical exams, offering first aid, and forming special medical committees for students who require supervision due to illness or infectious diseases.
  • Conducting medical check-ups for students participating in camps, trips, and sports activities to ensure they are healthy and fit.
  • Conducting check-ups and providing monthly treatment for students with chronic illnesses requiring long-term care.
  • Overseeing the preventive health aspect of the college by inspecting the kitchen to ensure the safety of meals served to students.
  • Organizing theoretical and practical first aid training sessions.
  • Delivering medical awareness lectures on various health topics relevant to students, including methods of disease prevention.
  • Supervising blood donation campaigns within the college, if any.

Student Nutrition Unit

This unit is responsible for:

Providing a subsidized cooked meal for students consisting of:

¼ chicken or breaded chicken – fruit or juice – green salad – bread – processed cheese – white cheese – jam – honey – halwa – green olives.

To obtain the subsidized meal, students must: 

1. Obtain a meal card for 1 EGP by submitting a personal photo and the college ID or tuition fee receipt.

2. Reserve meals one week in advance by paying 5 EGP per meal. Meals are served from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the college restaurant attached to the kitchen.

3. A daily committee made up of nutritionists and a veterinary doctor inspects the meals and animal-based products for quality and removes any unfit items.

4. Supervise the hygienic packaging of meals and cleanliness of the preparation area.

5. Carry out a financial and administrative audit every 15 days.

6. Transfer the collected meal payments to the university every 15 days from the meal card funds.

7. Organize a Ramadan Iftar meal annually in cooperation with the Student Welfare Department, in addition to meals provided for camps, student activities, the annual college conference, and the college forum.

8. Students are entitled to book one meal per day according to their lecture schedule. The meal is personal and non-transferable.

Disciplinary Violations and Prescribed Sanctions

A disciplinary violation is any breach of university rules, regulations, or traditions, particularly:

  • Acts that disrupt college operations or university facilities.
  • Obstructing academic activities, inciting such obstruction, or deliberately skipping lectures, classes, or other mandatory academic commitments.
  • Any behavior contrary to honor and dignity or disruptive to good conduct, whether inside or outside the university.
  • Any disruption to the examination process or its necessary quiet environment, cheating or attempting to cheat, or intentional damage to facilities, equipment, university materials, or books.
  • Forming student groups or associations within university buildings or participating in them without prior authorization.
  • Distributing flyers or publishing any kind of wall newspaper within the faculties or collecting signatures without prior university approval.
  • Occupying university buildings or participating in demonstrations that violate public order or morals.
  • Any student caught in the act of cheating or attempting to cheat will be removed from the exam by the Dean or their delegate, barred from remaining exams, considered failed in all subjects, and referred to the Disciplinary Committee.
  • Mobile phones are not permitted to be used or carried by students during exams.
  • In other cases, the examination may be invalidated by a decision of the Disciplinary Committee or Faculty Board, and the degree will be revoked if cheating is discovered after it has been granted.

 

Disciplinary Penalties Include:

  • Verbal or written warning.
  • Formal notice (reprimand).
  • Deprivation of certain student services.
  • Suspension from attending a course for no more than one month.
  • Suspension from the college for no more than one month.
  • Prohibition from taking exams in one or more subjects.
  • Suspension of enrollment in Master’s or PhD programs for up to two months or one semester.
  • Cancellation of exam results in one or more subjects.
  • Prohibition from enrolling in a Master’s or PhD program for one semester or more.
  • Suspension from the college for up to one semester.
  • Permanent expulsion from the university. This decision will be communicated to other Egyptian universities, making the student ineligible to enroll or sit for exams in any Egyptian university.
  • The disciplinary decision may be publicly posted in the college and must be communicated to the students’ guardian.
  • All disciplinary decisions, except verbal warnings, are recorded in the student's file.
  • The University Council may reconsider a permanent expulsion decision after at least three years from its issuance.
